I usually hole myself up in one of the bedrooms at my parents’ house, queue up a cheesy Christmas movie or some of my favorite holiday TV show episodes and wrap all my family’s gifts in one sitting.

Over the years, I’ve tried to make their experience of opening the gifts fun too. One year I bought wrapping paper from the dollar section at Target – one print for each person (there were only 4 at that point) and then didn’t add a gift tag. Instead, I dropped a square of each paper into the bottom of their stockings with a note that they had to find the gifts that matched their paper. It was a ton of fun!

Of course, another idea is purchasing (or making!) gift wrapping supplies so unique that everyone knows exactly who it came from. And when you’re spooky 24/7/365…that means Halloween gift wrapping.
