13 Spooky Shops to Support This Small Business Saturday

?>

Every Halloween season, I spend a lot of time sharing what kind of decor you’ll find in the big box stores. But did you know there are tons of small businesses selling Halloween goodies all year long?

Each year as we lead up to the busy holiday season, I like to share a handful of my favorites I’ve discovered over the past year and encourage you to shop with them on Small Business Saturday. See my 2016 picks and my 2017 picks at the links. (You can also see a handful of small businesses I love in this year’s Halloween wish list!)

“Wait – small business what?” you might be asking. In case you aren’t familiar, the Saturday following Thanksgiving in the U.S. is called Small Business Saturday – it’s a day to support the small or locally owned businesses you love as the holiday shopping season kicks off.

Of course, many of the businesses I’ve included in today’s post are open year-round with their spooky wares and hauntingly amazing goodies, and I encourage you to shop with them as frequently as possible.

13 Spooky Shops to Support This Small Business Saturday

1. Hedge Witch Apothecary

Hedge Witch Apothecary has tons of great items if you’re into natural products. From unique tea blends and salves to body oils and holiday items, you’re sure to find a treasure you can’t live without in their shop.

2. Yosiell Lorenzo

I had the pleasure of meeting Yosiell at Midsummer Scream this year, and I keep sharing his work because I absolutely love it! Whether you collect unique Halloween figurines or are dying for a bit of artwork, he has you covered.

3. Paper and Wick

I featured Paper and Wick’s Halloween candle collection on the blog in early September and shared my favorite Halloween memories…and then I enjoyed the HECK out of burning Erin’s candles all season. I have a tough time with candles giving me headaches because of the scents or materials used. Not these. And if you drop by the shop you can still grab the scents from the Halloween collection (Apparition and Full Moon are my faves) as well as the autumn and holiday collections!

4. Witchy Stitch

I learned how to cross stitch as a girl, and it became a favorite summer past time. I was thrilled when @queenofcreepy on Instagram introduced me to Witchy Stitch through one of her posts! I immediately fell in love, and I greatly appreciate that they sell patterns as well as finished pieces.

5. Kitschy Witch Designs

If you haven’t run across Kitschy Witch Designs, allow me to introduce you! I love this shop’s year-round Halloween vibes, unique items and their overall aesthetic. It’s the perfect blend of creepy and cute. You’re sure to find an item or two you absolutely cannot live without. (I’m obsessing over those Sleepy Hollow beaded necklaces…)

6. Love Monster

Love bath products? Me too! I probably follow way too many bath product companies for my own good, but I love seeing so many fun Halloween products. Love Monster has a great mix of items from bath bombs and chapsticks to bath fizz and shower frosting.

7. The Burlap Wine Sack

I’ve worked with Jo for several giveaways over the past year, and she is a joy. And her products – custom wine glasses – are absolutely gorgeous! These would be great gift items for your favorite wine lover…or yourself.

8. Lilith and Sage

I’m digging Lilith and Sage because they have a little something for everyone! Cute tees and totes as well as candles, jewelry and stickers. Their site is a ton of fun to browse for treats.

9. Pumpkin Paper Co.

If you’re part of the planner cult, your definitely need Pumpkin Paper Co. on your radar! They sell a ton of adorable Halloween stickers and planner accessories. I can’t wait to get my hands on a few of these sets to use in my Halloween planner I’m creating for 2019!

10. Vanta

Thank you to The Spooky Vegan for sharing Vanta with us! I absolutely fell in love with this shop’s gorgeous work – and all the bath products are vegan. (I’m lowkey obsessed with that candy corn goth cake…)

11. One Happy Laina Co.

As you may already know, I’m obsessed with my Halloween shopping tote bag from One Happy Laina. Her shop is the perfect spot to pick up a treat for that spooky someone in your life.

12. The Spirit Den

I fell in love with The Spirit Den after running across their Instagram account earlier this year. Everything in their shop speaks to my soul, and they have great price points if you’re shopping for several gifts this holiday season!

13. Olivia Frankenstein

If you’re spooky with a sarcastic streak (like me), Olivia Frankenstein’s Etsy shop is just for you! I love her clever saying on apparel and creepy cute designs.

What’s your favorite small business to support?

Share it in the comments – I’d love to find more spooky shops we can all support and look forward to hearing your favorites!

Then stay tuned because spooky Christmas is just around the corner, and I’ll be sharing a ton of tailored gift guides this year. It’s going to be a ton of fun!

Happy haunting,
