All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!
When I decorate for Halloween, I decorate everywhere. And my bedroom is one of the spaces I’m always most excited to make spookier because it’s where I like to spend the most time.
Earlier this year, I transformed my bedroom from a musical haven into a Halloween one. The transformation was subtle, though, so that when Halloween season rolled around…it would still feel special.
I think I achieved that pretty well. Every time I’ve walked into my bedroom this October, it makes me happy.
Here’s your peek inside my favorite space in the Spooky Little Apartment. (You can see my kitchen, bathroom and hallway here!)
Halloween Home Tour – Part II:

See my kitchen and bathroom post and my living room post too!
This site makes me so happy.
This is how I do girlie + Halloween…all at once.
Mostly permanent decor – I seem to keep adding to this shelf.
Teal is one of my favorite colors, so I’ve been thrilled to see so many Teal Pumpkin Project pumpkins around this year. But just in case you didn’t don’t there’s a point to the teal pumpkins…I encourage you to check it out.
I bought this countdown sign at a craft show, but you can also find it at Michaels. Mine came with chalk and a little tulle bow on top!
My favorite corner of my bedroom.
My black and white photos were part of my bedroom makeover earlier this summer.
This guy was hanging out on my spooky front door, but I shuffled a few things around and he ended up in my bedroom instead.
I’ve had these paper lanterns in my collection for years, but I’d never figured out a good use for them. Not this year! I finally hung them up in various corners of my apartment.
The witch hats were left over from my 2015 Halloweenie Roast – and all purchased at dollar stores!
Another one of my Happy Meal pails tucked away behind my bedroom TV.
My cauldron spooky succulent is still going strong! (I overwatered and killed my skull one – sob!)
I adore this custom sign from Helmies one of my friends gave me last year.
My other favorite corner…
If you read my Halloween wish list, you know this faux neon bat sign was on it. I broke down and bought myself one when there was a 10% off coupon on Target’s Cartwheel app. I am obsessed and now want the ghost too.
This tassel banner was less than $3 at Walmart. Beyond worth the price because they are such a pain to make!
More lanterns and tissue pom poms.
My Halloween jewelry – if you follow me on Instagram, I’m wearing one Halloween thing every day in October and posting them to my stories. Follow along!
My favorite parts of my day in October are winding down under these lights at night and waking up under their soft glow. Just the right amount of ambiance.
What’s your favorite decor in my bedroom?
You can see how I decorated in 2015 and 2016 to see how it’s changed over the years. I think this year is my favorite.
I hope you can find a bit of decor inspiration from how I decorate for Halloween!
Happy haunting,
