I love Halloween do-it-yourself projects. And yesterday I shared one of my favorites – Halloween pennant banners! They’re simple, they’re fun, and I never run out of places to hang them.
After I made them for my blog post, I realized it might be helpful to share some ideas of where to hang up these beauties.
So today, I’ll give you a little peek into the Spooky Little Apartment and share five of my favorite places to decorate with Halloween pennant banners – I hope it inspires you to do the same in your home this Halloween season.
5 ways to decorate with Halloween pennant banners:
1. Windows
The easiest place to decorate with pennant banners is windows. I like layering these on top of my valance. It’d be easy to find papers to match your own curtains or find fun colors that contrast with it.
Mine go nicely with my letter print valances.
2. Bookshelves
Layering pennant banners on bookshelves is an easy way to add a little extra spookiness to your home.
3. Mantel
Okay, I know, I know. This isn’t a mantel…but that’s because the Spooky Little Apartment doesn’t have one. If I did, it would be loaded up with all kinds of pennant banners all year long.
(Special appearance by Stranger Things in this photo – doing my rewatch in prep for season two.)
4. Mirrors
Pennant banners are a fun way to add a pop of color to simple mirrors in your home.
5. Over your bed
These aren’t Halloweeny, I know, but they are part of my black and white Halloween bedroom. Even without the lights, the wall over your bed is a perfect spot for your Halloween pennant banner.
Wondering how to make these pennant banners? It’s easy!
What is your favorite way to decorate for Halloween?
I’d love to hear about it – share it in the comments.
Happy haunting,
